The Community Development in Health project was initiated in 1987 as a project of the Victorian District Health Councils Program. In 1990, with the closure of the DHCs Program CDIH was re-born as the Centre for Development and Innovation in Health, still based in Northcote. In 1995 CDIH joined the Australian Institute for Primary Care at La Trobe University and in 2013 CDIH as a separate entity was absorbed into the AIPC. See history for more detail.
From 1987 to 2013 CDIH produced a range of publications and research reports. This website has been established to ensure that these publications and reports remain publicly available. See documents.
